Here is another pleasant New York City scene that I ran across when I was heading home one evening.
Unfortunately, running into a filthy mess like this is a fact of life in New York. But, what makes this scene distinctive is the combination of french fries and Colt 45 malt liquor... Someone had a good time before sharing his refuse.

I went out for a late lunch and I noticed this bag of trash outside of a Citibank in lower Manhattan. I said to myself, "that's odd," and I went about my business. About an hour later I walked by the bank again, and the trash bag was still sitting there. So, I knew I had to immortalize this, and out came my trusty digital camera.
Why Citibank would use an entrance to store trash is beyond me. Just to make sure I wasn't blaming Citibank for someone else's mess, I went into the bank and observed that they use these distinctive, translucent green bags in their trash containers.
