| Message: | I’ve been really intrigued with this place driven down the past 10 years have seen changes for the better including Saratoga Ave and Eastern Parkway, Saratoga and Atlantic ave allot of new housing but I was down there this past weekend drove down and saw some great urban decay and blight, one of the worst street in the city is Van Sinderen right along the LIRR track under the ELevated L line. Very much a throwback to what NYC looked like in the 1980’s with garbage graffiti broken sidewalk and street downed fenced. Pretty tough place to be at midnight.
Another spot that really shocked me was Livonia ave and New Lots where the train ends, pretty sketchy at night under the tracks you have allot of graffiti boarded up buildings pretty tough looking.
Livonia itself many vacant lots surprised with all the construction there over the past 10 years they did not put anythin up on this street don’t know if it’s a zoning thing but noneteless ENY I think is one of the worst spots in NYC and not many people head out there. The South Bronx got the notoriety Harlem the blight but ENY got it all.
