I got to see the movie American gangster this past weekend with Denzel and Russell a truly remarkable piece if you are into NYC history based on a true story about a 1970's drug kingpin in Harlem and his rise and fall.
Apparently every scene but one was shot in NYC in all 5 boroughs. Ridley Scott did a tremendous job capturing the decay blight and grim NYC 1970's so much that one of the streets I'm wondering if it's not computer generated which leads to my question. When they pull Lucas over driving down a street it's all abandoned and decayed, it's a scene with Josh Brolin. can someone confirm what street this is where it is.
I'm thinking Spanish Harlem I think you see the east river at the end.
Anyone??
