So I was heading home one night, and this was the scene on the street outside of a Chinese restaurant in lower Manhattan.

It is in everyone's interest to have a safe, clean, and efficient public transit system. Why can't New York's transit systems be as clean and orderly as any world class subway system?

It is amazing that in a city with some of the highest rents in the world, whole buildings are abandoned and in decay. As people escape "inner-city" decay, the suburbs become a filthymess as well.
