FilthyMess is based in New York, and therefore our content tends to be New York-centric. If we get enough interest and material, we would be happy to launch FM pages for other locations.

How to Contribute Pictures to FM

FilthyMess is always looking for good examples of filth. If you have the right stuff, please email them to pix@filthymess.com. Here are some guidelines for picture submissions:

Technical guidelines

• Pictures should be in JPG or GIF format
• Do not send over 1 Meg of pictures at a time
• Try to keep file size below 100 KB per picture

Content guidelines

• Please include an explanation of what the pictures represent
• If you have commentary, please send the text along with the pictures
• Please send raw, unaltered photos... We want to see the filth as you experienced it, so please do not edit or embellish your pictures.
• Remember, FM is about filth in public spaces... We're not interested in the empty pizza boxes and broken beer bottles that litter your living room.

Legal guidelines and privacy issues

• Do not submit pictures for which you do not own the copyright. Note: If you took the picture on your own behalf, you own the copyright.
• Pictures that you submit become the property of FilthyMess... Once you send them to us, we can do whatever we want with them.
• We respect your privacy, and we will not divulge your identity to anyone unless we are forced to do so by court order.
